Bicycle

Everyone in Holland has a bike.
It’s the ultimate transport.
And I have to cycle to school everyday, 13 kilometers.
It’s healthy, I know. It’s nice when it’s sunny.
But here in Holland the weather sucks.
It rains. A lot. And just when I was cycling to school yesterday,
it started hailing. I was lucky to be with a friend, so we could laugh at it.
We were like: “HAHAH- AUCH! HAHAHAH.. AUCH!”
There was nowhere to hide. There was just fields surrounding us, and some cars passing, drivers laughing in our face. My shoes turned into birdbaths. My pants were soaked. And this happens almost daily.

It’s almost evening in Holland. It’s foggy, so there is no real sunset to see, unfortunately.I don’t have a view like on the picture since I live in the middle of a city, but I don’t live in a big city. Cars are driving towards home, people returning from work. Shops are about to close. A few people on the streets, sneeking into shop windows.  I love sitting here, staring out the window.
